Putting these two, their relationship, and their big day into words is quite a challenge.
In some ways — the important ways — Lauren and Mitch are really alike. They are both totally kindhearted, genuine, loving souls. Their relationships are so valuable to them. They live for traveling and eating amazing food. Most of all, they are truly madly deeply in love with each other. And then there are the ways they balance each other out, and their differences really shine. Anyone can tell pretty quickly that Mitch is a go-with-the-flow kind of guy. He’s laid back in the best way. Lauren, on the other hand, is probably the most detail-oriented and thorough bride we have ever worked with. Somehow she manages to be extremely Type-A yet totally charming and flexible. The girl did a test-run for getting ready with her bridesmaids the night before the wedding to make sure the schedule was on-point. Amazing.
Getting to know them the past year and a half has been awesome, and it all really started with their Wintery Engagement Session here in Nashville with their adorable pups Bosco and Cassidy. Lauren and Mitch KILLED IT in front of our cameras and needed very little direction — as you’ll see below, they did the same on their wedding day. We love how they love each other, and how easily they ignore the fact that they are being photographed. We’ve talked over meals and coffee, emailed a bunch, and sent a ton of virtual high-fives, with them living in Memphis and us here in Nashville. We’ve loved counting down the days of their long engagement with them and we were so completely thrilled when their wedding day finally arrived.
And their day was a glorious one — mid-January and temps in the 60’s with sun-rays for days. A phenomenal First Look, heartfelt ceremony, exceptional candlelit dinner — all with their favorite people in the world there to celebrate with them. They treated us like guests and we were honored to capture their long-awaited day. And hey, even with red lipstick on Mitch’s collar – we’d call it absolutely perfect.
We love you, Bowmans! Here’s some of our faves.
